Caught At the Crossroads

Gray is known as the Crossroads, because five major routes converge in Gray Corner. Most travelers drive through quickly, seeing only the traffic. The Monument's office, though, at 12 Main Street, is in the heart of Gray Corner. With our window on the world, so to speak, we see lots of strange, wonderful and interesting things every day. Hence, our photo essay each issue called Caught at the Crossroads.

You gotta know you're in Maine when you see... Yankee ingenuity at its best.
