The
New Gloucester Library Is Looking for Friends
One
definition for the word friend, from the
Websters New Collegiate Dictionary, is one
that favors or promotes something. The New Gloucester
Library is revitalizing the Friends of the Library
group to favor and promote good things
at the New Gloucester Library! Former members of the
disbanded Friends of the Library, as well as some
new comers, met on a warm June evening to discuss
the possibilities for the new Friends of the Library
group. The ideas were flying, fast and furious.
While the ideas of what we could accomplish were numerous,
the number of members was not. The Friends of the
New Gloucester Library is looking for more friends.
This is a great opportunity to be a friend to New
Gloucester by volunteering some of your time to the
library and in turn, the community. We hope you will
come to our next Friends of the New Gloucester Library
meeting on August 13th at 7:00 p.m. (Library meeting
room). Bring a friend and check us out!!! For more
information, contact Sue Hawkins at 926-4840.
