Gray--Every year, the Auditor scrutinizes the finances of the Town and writes a report. This year, the report was presented at the Gray Town Council meeting on September 3, 2002. Support Staff gets first paycheck
Size of health care chunk demoralizes staff
Gray-New Gloucester--MSAD #15 support staff, composed of Bus drivers, Ed. Techs, Custodians, and Food Service personnel, have been working without a contract for over a year. The sticking points have been in health care costs. The District wants to reduce the Support Staff’s share of health care premiums. The union wants the District to pick up a larger share than the District has proposed. more

High School students’ personal info available to military
New law provides provides automatic access
On Friday, September 13, Gray-New Gloucester High School parents with children in the Junior or Senior class received a letter. It stated,: On January 8th, 2002, President Bush signed into law the No Child Left behind Act of 2001. Public Law 107-110, section 9528 of this law is titled "Armed Forces recruiter access to students and student recruiting information."
