School District and Teachers Resolve Contract Dispute
Principals and Support Staff Still Working Without Contracts

New Gloucester- The new year has brought with it a new contract for teachers of the MSAD #15 serving the communities of Gray and New Gloucester, after the school board voted last week to approve the new agreement. The teachers ratified the contract by a vote of 67-1 on Monday afternoon. more

Veteran of Portland High School to Bring "Active" Leadership to Gray-New Gloucester


New Gloucester- Paul Penna will be leaving Portland High School after 17 years this June to begin a new job as the Gray-New Gloucester High School Principal following the positive vote of the MSAD #15 School Board last week to hire him at an anticipated salary of nearly $72,000- the same amount the last principal earned. more

New Gloucester- Mourners by the hundreds huddled together shoulder to shoulder last Tuesday at the First Congregational Church to share their grief and recall the warmth and compassion of Selectman Robert Leighton, Sr. while sleet and rain fell quietly outside. more

A Champion Has Left the Game

Gray- The high school gymnasium was packed last Thursday night but tears and sobs echoed through the crowd replacing the regular thunderous cheers that come during a Patriots’ home game. There was no team playing in the gym that night and the hundreds gathered were the family, fans and supporters of one Patriot in particular- Gray-New Gloucester Sophomore Michael Huff- who died during school vacation in a snowmobile accident. more

New Gloucester--Around 10:30 A.M. on January 6 smoke was detected at Dunn School on Morse Road in New Gloucester. New Gloucester Fire department was called. Gray also responded.
