Gray-New Gloucester Homecoming

The classes had food and raffle booths as fund-raisers during the daylong homecoming activities. The day started with the homecoming parade and ended with the varsity girls soccer team playing under the lights at the high school.
Later in the day, nearly all of the fall sports teams competed in their homecoming games. Seniors received special recognition in their last year of high school play.

Stephanie Hare is the Cat in the Hat for the junior float in the Gray-New Gloucester High School Homecoming parade. The juniors had a Dr. Seuss theme, and took the title for best float in the parade.

Leading the parade was a car carrying the Homecoming King and Queen. The King is Gabe Brzozowski and the Queen is Emily Baker. The driver is Sara Bartlett.

Above, the parade itself, with some close-ups of band members and photos of the action as the floats moved past. The parade circled the school twice, ending at the football field.

The sophomore float was the World of Disney theme, while the frosh chose a theme around Charlotte's Web.

Nick Amergian of Gray spends three minutes in "jail" as part of the Class of 2004's fund-raising activities at the Gray-New Gloucester High School homecoming last Saturday. Students and their friends could put someone in "jail" for a several minutes with a small donation, and could "free" them with another donation.
