WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
Town of New Gloucester
December 14, 2004

To: Barbara A. Seaver, a resident of the Town of New Gloucester, County of Cumberland, State of Maine.

GREETINGS:

In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of New Gloucester, qualified to vote in town affairs, to assemble at the Memorial School on Tuesday the 14th day of December A.D. 2004 at 7:00 p.m., Standard Time, in the evening, then and there to act on articles 1 through 5.


ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.

ARTICLE 2. Shall the Town of New Gloucester Land Use Ordinance and Subdivision Ordinance be amended to include Transfer of Development Rights per the attached summary and be effective 60 days after the date of adoption?

ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to expend up to $16,375 from Transfer Station Projects special revenue general ledger account #326-00 for the following purposes:

$6,500 for a new roll-off container to handle trash (MSW) overflow
$5,100 for a concrete pad for a new roll-off container
$2,475 to fabricate a new rear door for an existing roll-off container
$2,300 to pay for engineering and repair of holding tank

Account #326-00 currently contains a balance of $75,611.

ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to expend up to $16,200 from Fairgrounds capital reserve account #407-00 for fairgrounds.

ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to accept a donation in the amount of $1,500 for creation, operation, and maintenance of a skating rink at the fairgrounds.

The Registrar of Voters hereby gives notice; voter registration will be accepted at the Town Office, during normal working hours and at the meeting. Dated at New Gloucester this 29th day of November, 2004, the same being at least (7) days before the time appointed for said meeting.

Truck driver/laborers report to the Public Works Director and are responsible for performing road and some grounds maintenance, snow plowing/salting/sanding, and related public works duties. Applicants must possess a valid commercial driver's license and experience in public works operations or a related field.
