Transfer Station Sticker Required
During the Month of June, 2004, the Town will be conducting
random inspections of incoming vehicles to the Transfer
Station on Seagull Drive to make sure the required
Sticker is displayed for this year. Stickers cost
$5.00 per vehicle and are available through the Town
Offices, at the Transfer Station and at the Public
Safety Dispatch Center. Proof of Gray Residency is
required. This may include a photo motor vehicle ID
with a Gray street address, Tax bill, Copy of a monthly
lease payment with a Gray street address and even
mail with your Gray street address though a PO box
does not qualify. For more information please contact
the Town Offices at 657-3339.
Town
of Gray Notice
The Town of Gray will be holding its annual "Spring-Greening"
event on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the 4th, 5th,
and 6th of June. During this time residents (no commercial)
can bring unwanted household items to the Transfer
Station for disposal at no cost. Household items include;
appliances (limit of 2 freon units), furniture, mattresses,
tires (limit of 4), carpeting, televisions, etc. No
construction or demolition material nor leaves and
grass qualify for this exemption.
Special consideration, in regard to limits, will be
given to those who remove materials illegally dumped
on their property or those who clean debris dumped
roadside.

BID NOTICE
MOWING FAIRGROUNDS
The Town of New Gloucester is requesting bids for
mowing the New Gloucester Fairgrounds 3-4 times per
year, as needed. To obtain the required bid form and
for more information, contact Town Manager, Rosemary
Kulow, 385 Intervale Road, P.O. Box 82, New Gloucester,
Maine 04260, phone 926-4126 ext. 5. Proposals must
be submitted to the Town Manager in a sealed envelope
marked, "Mowing Fairgrounds" no later than
2:00 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2004.
Committee
Members Needed
The
New Gloucester Board of Selectmen is seeking two citizen
volunteers to serve on the new Fire Station Committee.
Appointments will be made at the June 21, 2004 Selectmens
meeting. Those interested should obtain an application
at the town office and submit it to the Town Manager
by June 15, 2004. For additional information, call

High School
Class Of 2005 Parent Meetings Held In June
Gary Canter, the College/Career Advisor at Gray-New
Gloucester High School*, will offer a second presentation
for parents of juniors during the first two weeks
of June.
This presentation is called "Pay Up Time"
and will provide parents with an overview of the college
financial aid application process, as well as an understanding
of HOW to meet college costs. Much of the information
presented will be of value to all parents regardless
of their student's post-high school plans - be they
work, military, or continuing education.
"Pay Up Time" will be offered Thursday,
June 3rd and repeated on Tuesday, June 8th. Both meetings
will begin at 7:00 PM and take place in the High School
Cafeteria.
Please make every effort to attend one of these meetings.
Gary Canter is a former guidance counselor who provides
college, career and financial advice to students and
families through his business College Placement Services
in Portland. His services have been retained by MSAD
15 for the past year.
