New Business: Variance Requests

--Jason Wilson d/b/a Wilson Funeral Home LLC, 24 Shaker Road requests a variance of impervious surface coverage (increase to 60%) to enlarge the occupancy of the funeral home. MapU2, Lot 41, VAP Zone.

--Debra & James McGowan, 21 Gray Park, Gray, Maine, is requesting a rear setback reduction of 7' from 50 feet to 43 feet and to increase the impervious surface lot coverage to 20%. Map U03, Lot 13, WHI Zone.

--Charles Packevicz, 100 Totten Road, Gray, Maine is requesting a side setback reduction of 9 feet (from 25 feet to 16 feet). Map 23, Lot 5-2, Zone RRA.

Notice: Rental available
The town of Gray is offering office rental space adjacent to the Town Offices on Rt. 26. Up to #1600 sf are available for short term triple net rental. The space is subdividable. For more information contact the Town Manager 657-3339.

Transfer Station Sticker Required

During the Month of June, 2004, the Town will be conducting random inspections of incoming vehicles to the Transfer Station on Seagull Drive to make sure the required Sticker is displayed for this year. Stickers cost $5.00 per vehicle and are available through the Town Offices, at the Transfer Station and at the Public Safety Dispatch Center. Proof of Gray Residency is required. This may include a photo motor vehicle ID with a Gray street address, Tax bill, Copy of a monthly lease payment with a Gray street address and even mail with your Gray street address though a PO box does not qualify. Notice of Public Hearing

New Gloucester Planning Board

The New Gloucester Planning Board will hold a public hearing on a subdivision application for the proposed MacDonald Minor Subdivision, as requested by Daniel MacDonald. The application for this subdivision proposes to establish 4 lots encompassing 9+ acres on an 80+ acre parcel at the end of Douglas Drive.

The Public Hearing will take place on Tuesday, June 15th, 2004, at 7:30 p.m., at the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road.
Plans may be viewed at the New Gloucester Town Hall.

Committee Members Needed

The New Gloucester Board of Selectmen is seeking two citizen volunteers to serve on the new Fire Station Committee. Appointments will be made at the June 21, 2004 Selectmen’s meeting. Those interested should obtain an application at the town office and submit it to the Town Manager by June 15, 2004. For additional information, call the town office at 926-4126.
