Auburn Library: 100 years of service

APL Centennial Concert will be held November 12 at the High Street Congregational Church, Auburn, benefitting the Auburn Public Library.
A series of fund-raising events have been held the past several months for the library, according to Tonie Ramsey, Chairperson of the Centennial Committee.

The library has completed 100 years of service to the community and is in the process of expanding its facility in the heart of downtown Auburn.
Barbara Ring, is chairing the concert which will include performances by well known pianist Phil House, along with Ms Ring; Karl "Dan" Sorensen, tenor, and a barbershop quartet from the Sweet Adeline group. A special appearance by the cast of "Forever Plaid" who performed at sold out shows at Community Little Theatre this past March will be a treat. Presenting musical nostalgia from the Fifties from that show will be Dr. Ron Bouffard (Jinx), Dr. Bruce Condit (Sparky), Dr. Paul G. Caron (Frankie) and Harry Neidig (Smudge.)

Barbara Randall, John Kelly and Dr. Otis Tibbetts are hosting the evening starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door. Refreshments will be served by Eleanor Cummings and Maureen Tibbetts. Cheryl Ring is designing the program and Rachel Morin, the publicity.
