Call for auditions
Richard Martin, Community Little Theatre Director for "The Scarlet Pimpernel," is placing an audition call for May 17 and 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Lewiston Middle School, Central Ave. Auditioners should please enter through the back door of the school.

The auditioner should choose a musical selection from 'Scarlet' or bring sheet music for selections from other shows. Musical selections from 'Les Miserables' or 'Phantom of the Opera' would be appropriate. If the selection does not display the appropriate range for the character of choice, the auditioner will be asked to display that range by the musical or vocal director.

Appropriate, comfortable, but not 'baggy' clothing is required for the dance auditions. Women are requested to wear pumps, heels or character shoes (no stilettos.) Men should wear hard-soled shoes (no sneakers, sandals or 'clunky' shoes.)

Men may be required to grow their hair, including beards and moustaches. Women could be wearing corsets during production.

Production dates are August 20-29. The musical will be staged at the air-conditioned Lewiston Middle School Auditorium, Central Ave. Additional information is available by accessing the theatre's website at www.laclt.com.

Questions may be addressed to the Director at 783-1828, Producer Karen Mayo at 346-6140 or Musical Director Ray Libby at 729-3979.
