of Governments, to give presentations on Maine's Farm/Open

The Gray Extension Group will meet March 3, at
9:30 a.m. in the Gray Congregational Church parish
house on Brown Street. The guest will be a speaker
from Knifty Knitters, who will present information
on the need for volunteer knitters to make items for
the pediatric and cancer units at local hospitals.
Bring any 'no longer needed' items you may have for
the white elephant table. Also bring a bag lunch,
coffee provided. Plan to stay following lunch for
games and fellowship. New members always welcome.

Gray Snowmobile Club: No Snow, No Poker Run
The Gray Snowmobile Club is forced to cancel the poker
run that was scheduled for Sat., February 28th due
to the lack of snow! However the dance is still on
for March 27th at the American Legion, Post #86. Please
plan on coming out for this The second event, the
annual dance to be held on March 27th, 8-midnight
at the American Legion Hall, Post #86. The band, Fortune,
will play for us again. We dance from the first song
to the end, so come on out and have fun while supporting
our club. We'll need help with the poker run so if
you have an hour to donate please call either Bill
Murphy @ 657-2420 or Kim Shelley @428-3244. And, don't
forget our monthly meeting...they are held the 2nd
Tuesday of each month at the Fish and Wildlife Building
on Rt. 26 at 7pm. The next meeting will be on Feb.

News From The Raymond Village Library: The Library
Reading Group will meet on Wednesday, February 25
at 7 pm at the library. The book to be discussed this
month is "The Hemingway Book Club of Kosovo",
by Paula Huntley. Copies of the book are available
at the library and new readers are always welcome.
Pineland Farms Outdoor Recreation Department Calendar
of Events:
Saturday Morning BKYSL:This game-based, instructional
program is directed at "hooking" children
on the fun of cross country skiing. Children will
develop the eight essential skills of skiing while
gaining comfort on skis. Fast paced and fun, this
program is for children ages 6- 13 years old. They
will be facilitated by a Pineland Farms Youth Coach
and volunteer assistant coaches to ensure the time
spent on snow is effective and fun. Through February
29, 2004, Saturdays, 10 a.m. -11:30 a.m. $5 per session
(Includes membership in the Maine BKYSL). Day Registration
at the Pineland Farms Visitors Center
Senior Striders:This program is designed for
senior (55+) skiers looking for a ski group. Light
instruction will be available every class with a supervised
group ski. The program goal is to assist in developing
a group network of active seniors to embrace Maine
winters. Through February. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. - 12
p.m. register at the Pineland Farms Visitors Center.
Take Charge of the Downhills: Don't just survive
the down hills, but ski them with confidence. This
one-hour clinic will help you hold an edge and turn
with control. Time: 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, February
21, $5 per clinic (limit 30) Register with Lori Munro
at 688-4800 ext. 14 or event day at the Pineland Farms
Visitors Center.
BKYSL New England Tuner: This post season program
is designed for BKYSL skiers from the ages of 5-13
years. Once the regular season is completed and before
the children travel to the Banknorth New England BKL
Festival, participants relax, ski with family and
focus on tweaking ski techniques. Sunday, February
22, 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. $5. Register with Lori Munro
at 688-4800 ext. 14 or event day at the Pineland Farms
Visitors Center.
Hockey News: In middle school action Sunday
night, GNG-Poland beat Massabesic 4 to 3. Scoring
2 goals for GNG-Poland was Johnny Conant with Gardner
Lajoie & Matt McLeod each adding one. Assists
went to Lajoie & Cam Penney. Nick Roy & Sean
Bilodeau tended goal. Scoring for Massabesic were
2 goals for Brent Whitten and one for Derek Reny.
Jeremy Corthell was in goal.
Military Reunion: USS Canopus Association:
Crewmembers that served on the AS-34 and AS-9, and
supporting Marine detachments, SUBRONs, ARDMs, ASRs

The Sports For Youth Foundation is now accepting
High School volleyball teams, Club volleyball teams,
and individual volleyball players for the 2004 Goodwill
Ambassadors International Volleyball exchange program.
The program is open to both Canadian and American
boys and girls. Members of this year's team will represent,
their Country, Community and the Goodwill Ambassadors
teams, in volleyball tournaments and local competitions
in London, Paris, Geneva, Venice and Rome. Additional
