Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I just wanted to thank you for printing Charles C. Haynes' article called "Inside The first Amendment Hanukkah 2003: lighting candles in the darkness".

I'm a new home-owner in Gray, and was pleasantly surprised to find such a well-expressed article in the local free paper! I don't yet know how many Jewish families reside in town, but we are now included in those numbers. However, you are right to print this article, not as a Jewish concern, but as an American concern, really as a humanitarian concern. To open up our eyes to anti-semitism and indoctrination is necessary education these days. Sad, but true.

I'm looking forward to future issues of The Monument.

Lesli Weiner, Gray
