Former Gray Town manager contract not renewed
Athol, MA-Former Gray Town Manager Peter Jankowski, who left Gray in January 2001 for a position as Athol's first Town Manager, was told by the Selectboard in Athol last week that the selectmen voted 4 to 1 Tuesday night not to renew his contract in January 2005, the Athol Daily news reported.

The vote taken in executive session to give the notice was 3 to 2.

Jankowski received a letter during the 35-minute executive session that had been called to conduct contract negotiations. The letter gave notice that effective January 20, Jankowski has a one-year extension, to January 2005. The extension did not include any salary or benefit increases.
