Caught at the Crossroads

Note: The Maine Department of Transportation will be providing a presentation at the October 18 Council Meeting. Topics will include the overview of the Gray Bypass project to date, information on projected traffic flows, and a project schedule. The Gray Town Council meeting begins at 7 p.m., and is held at Stimson Hall in Gray. All are welcome.

The Gray Bypass is an about-to-be constructed connector that is projected to funnel traffic from Rt. 202 and the Maine Turnpike Exit 63 over a fast-flowing connector that connects with Rt. 26 north of Gray's constricted Village Center. Bids are to be sent out in November and the project is supposed to break ground in earnest in the spring of 2006.
