Caught at the Crossroads

It must be hard to complete a massive construction project near the middle of the most dangerous and congested intersection in the state of Maine, on almost no land, within sight of thousands of passersby every day and working with flammable materials.

This does not daunt The Tyree organization of Westborough MA who has been contracted to replace Cumberland Farms' underground storage tanks. They are changing the single walled tanks with a new double walled tank. The project foreman is John Pasquale. Mr. Pasquale said that "If all goes well, we should be completed by the second week of May."

Here, The Monument caught the moment when the new tank was lifted by the crane and placed into the ground. For scale, see the man next to the tank…
