Editorial

It's Science Fair season at our local schools and boy don't I love covering the event. As a former teacher, it gives me a chance to talk with kids, always a fun and interesting thing to do. They crack me up.

Observing their efforts, worriedly watching their stress levels rise as they explain their ideas to evaluators, basking in their joy and triumph when the event has finished successfully, are all illustrative of our community in microcosm.

It is just plain fun to watch. I applaud the efforts of the Administrators, teachers, volunteers, parents and especially the kids who put these Fairs together. Even if you don't have a child or grandchild in school, it's worth a look to see our kids performing in another sphere.
