Holly Fair and Fish Chowder Luncheon

All are welcome to attend the First Congregational Church annual Holly Fair on Saturday, November 19th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Parish House behind McDonald's Restaurant in Gray. Come for a Fish Chowder Luncheon and order your Thanksgiving pies. A white elephant table will feature many goodies including a collection of salt and pepper shakers. FMI- contact J. Looking for Crafters

The 18th Annual Holiday Fair at Memorial School in New Gloucester on Saturday, December 3 from 9-2. Craft projects for children, make and take, refreshments and raffle. Christmas Fair

Sabbathday Lake Grange will hold its Annual Christmas Fair on Saturday, December 3rd, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a variety of crafts, food, raffles, grab bags, Rawleigh products, and a White Elephant table. Lunch of hot dogs, beans, sandwiches, coffee, tea or juice. The Grange Hall is on the old Route 26 in New Gloucester.

Christmas Fair

Sunday Dec. 4, 9 to 2, at the American Legion Hall, Route 100, 15 Lewiston Rd. Gray, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. Benefit our Scholarship Fund. Tables are available to rent at $15 per eight ft. table. No smoking in the hall and we are handicapped accessible. Fish chowder and sandwiches luncheon. Holiday Craft Fair

The Lake Region Eagles, non-profit organization whose motto is, "People helping people," will be holding a Holiday craft fair at 824 Roosevelt Trail in Windham on December 10th from 8 to 2. Celebrations: Gift Making for the Holidays

Curves of Gray Annual Food drive is here

Help our community by bringing non-perishable food or frozen turkey to Curves in Gray, for Thanksgiving. Food will be donated to families in need. Drop off food at Curves at 15 Main St. in Gray. Accepting food until Friday, November 18 at noon. Thank you!

Yummy Chicken Pie
Sabbathday Lake Grange on the old Route 26 in New Gloucester is having a Chicken Pie Sale on Saturday, November 19th. Price: $7 each or 2 for $12. Please place your order by calling Pam Dyer at 657-4612. Orders should be placed no later than November 17th for pickup on the 19th.

Happy Hands Play Group

The group is open to the public and meets each Wednesday in the New Begin Center basement from 9:30 to 11 a.m.. The cost is 50 cents per child and covers the cost of a snack. Birthplace

Jacob Andrew Earle was born on November 5th to Whitney and Andrew Earle of Windham. Grandparents are Rick and Vicky Swan of Windham and David and Miki Earle also of Windham. Great grandparents are Dorothy Hansen of Windham and Suzanne Earle and Donna Jo Scruggs of Limington ME and Providence, RI.

Gray Parks and Recreation Update

The 2005-06 Winter Program flier will be available December 2nd. Fliers will be issued through the SAD#15 school tote bags and will also be available at the following locations for pick-up: Newbegin Gym, Gray and New Gloucester Town Offices and Libraries.

Some of the activities and events included in the flier are: Patriot Youth Basketball Program (boys & girls/grades 1-6), Junior Basketball Program (boys & girls ages 4-6), Santa's Coming To Town (Sunday, Dec 18th, 1-3 at Newbegin), Lost Valley Winter Sports (ski/snowboard lessons), Holiday Craft Class for Kids, Health Hometowns Nordic Skiing Program, Men's Pick-Up Basketball, Winter Gymnastics Lessons, Early Release Day Field Trip (1/23/06), Bushido Karate @ Dunn School, Christmas Vacation Open Gym and more.

Gymnastics Lessons (session II): We will be offering a condensed version of lessons due to the holiday season. This next session will be starting on Wednesday, November 30 and ending December 21st ( 4 classes). Times are: Beginners at 3:15 and Adv Beginners/Intermediate at 4. Participants must be 4 years of age. Cost: $20 Gray residents/$25 non-residents. FMI or to register call the Recreation Department at 657-2323.
