Oneonta, NY-Hartwick College sophomore Alyson V. Visser, of Gray, ME. daughter of Randolph and Janis Visser, is participating in the January Term Off Campus Program at Hartwick College in the Bahamas.

They will hike through the rugged scrub-forest communities in the island's interior, snorkel to several offshore reefs and sea grass and mangrove habitats, analyze plant communities, sample rocky intertidal communities, swim to an offshore island inhabited by iguanas, and descend into a water cave.

At Hartwick, Visser has participated in Ski Club.
