Postponed - Yard Sale / Car Wash

Gray-New Gloucester Football has postponed their Yard Sale / Car Wash, originally scheduled for Saturday, July 23, 9-3. The event will be rescheduled to this fall, date to be determined.

Ink Cartridge/Cell Phone Recycling Fundraiser

Do you have used ink cartridges or cell phones that you're planning on throwing away? The Gray-New Gloucester Patriot Football Program has begun its Ink Cartridge (inkjet or laser) / Cell Phone Recycling Fundraiser and we would love to collect yours! Please see our web site at GNGFootball.org or call or email Tammy (831-4182 or GNGFootball@aol.com) for a list of eligible cartridges and cell phones, or to arrange pick-up.

Contours Express, located in Gray Plaza, and the New Gloucester News, located downstairs at the New Gloucester Library, have also kindly allowed us to place a drop-box at their facilities should you be in the area and wish to drop yours off. This is an easy, environmentally responsible way to help local kids by supporting a worthwhile program, so please call today!

Attention All Parents of Children Entering Kindergarten September 2005

We are asking all parents of children that will be 5 years old, on or before October 15th, 2005 to call James W. Russell Elementary School (657-4929) to register their child for the upcoming Kindergarten screening on August 11th. Please call Connie Monday-Friday (7:30-4:00). We look forward to meeting you.

Crystal Lake Association Annual Meeting

The Crystal Lake Association will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, July 27th at St Gregory's Parish Hall. You are welcome to come at 6:30 p.m. to pay dues, enjoy some lemonade and cookies, browse through the displays or purchase a t-shirt. The business meeting will begin at 7 p.m. We will have a member of the Little Sebago Lake Association speak to us about the milfoil situation in their lake and how they are dealing with it. We will also hear from representatives from the Royal River Youth Conservation Corps on their progress with correcting erosion sites around Crystal Lake. We will also have our regular business meeting and election of officers. We hope you will all make an effort to attend.

Discounted Septic Tank Pumping for Crystal Lake Association Members
The Crystal Lake Association will, again this year, offer sept
ic tank pumping at considerable savings to our members. Pumping is recommended about every three years. The discount is based on having 10 tanks pumped. Maine's Celebration of the Fifteenth Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act

July 26, 2005. Capitol Park, Augusta Maine, 10 a.m. until 3 rain or shine.
Exhibitors from organizations and agencies around the state bringing displays and information to share with the public will be at the event, activities including a story and conversation circle, face painting for children, lunchtime speakers, prize drawings, demonstrations of abilities, and more will be available. The public and especially the communities of people with disabilities are invited to bring lunch, spend a day in the park, and participate.

Veggie Munch

Maine Animal Coalition announces its first annual Vegetarian Food Festival on Saturday July 30th at the State Street Church (159 State Street) in Portland from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival will feature a gourmet vegan lunch, live music, speakers, and vendors selling products of special interest to vegetarians. Suggested donation $ 10.

Featured speakers at the festival will be Karen and Michael Iacobbo, authors of Vegetarian America, A History.
