Singing praises
"Sibling Revelry" will be singing in this week's worship service at First Congregational-Christian Church (United Church of Christ). The group has been singing together for many years at churches, Lions and Rotary Clubs and other special functions and is always eagerly anticipated at the church.
Its original core, comprising four sisters (McLeary) formerly of North Yarmouth, Maine, has been expanded to include their spouses, children and "adopted siblings" (friends who sing, too), and now number about 18 voices.

John Rimkunas, a music educator in the South Portland School System, is their leader. Glenne and David Gray of Gray are members of the group.
In addition to the vocal ensemble's participation, songs, drama and dance reflecting children's week-long learning about the building blocks of Christian community in "Summerfest" will be a part of the worship service which begins at 9:30, Sunday, August 21.

The Rev. Linda Gard is pastor of the church; Beth Barefoot-Jones is Minister of Music. The church is located on Gloucester Hill Road near Intervale Road (Rt. 231).

Hidden Treasure at Skyline Farm

Do you own a handheld GPS (global positioning system) unit? If so, you may want to try the relatively new sport of geocaching. It's been described as a high-tech treasure hunt, although the box you're seeking to find is not buried - usually just hidden somewhere in the woods. Coordinates are given to help you track down the cache, which contains trinkets to trade and a notebook to log your visit. A new cache has been stashed away near one of the trails at Skyline Farm on The Lane in North Yarmouth. Secret hint: the first set of coordinates can be found on the back of the posted trail map. For lots more information on the sport, log on to www.geocaching.com. (Enter your zip code to locate caches in the vicinity, including this one.) As always, when you visit the farm, please use the driveway with the Skyline Farm sign.
