Time
to save those tabs
The
kids are back in school and Mrs. Haymon's first graders
at Memorial School are asking you to save ring tabs.
The students collect the metal ring tabs that come
on soup, tuna, dog and cat food cans, etc and donate
them to the Ronald McDonald House on Brackett Street
in Portland. The Ronald McDonald House is a "home
away from home" for families who have a critically
ill child in an area hospital. The money gained from
the sale of the ring tabs goes to help run the house.
The first graders are asking everyone to save tabs.
You may send your tabs to school with a student who
attends Memorial, Russell or Dunn School. If you do
not know a child at any of these schools, call the
Memorial School office at 926-4322 and leave your
name and information. Arrangements will be made to
pick up your tabs. If you are a member of an organization
that could save tabs, that would be great! Again,
send the tabs to school via a child or call Memorial
for collection. In advance the students thank you
for collecting tabs for their worthwhile community
service project.
