Letters to the Editor

Dear Ms. Prata,

I don't normally read your paper, but it's 10:35 P.M. and I'm waiting for my banana bread to bake. My husband, son, and neighbor enjoy breakfast breads. You' d think between the lovely summer night on the lake and the smell of banana bread cooking it would be "the best of all possible worlds" then I read "View from the Monument" dated 14 July 05. Ms Prata you wouldn't know "classy" if it popped up and bit you on the nose. How do I know? I read your article.

Your article was so self serving it was embarrassing to read. How pathetic it sounded. You're trying so hard to make people have your point of view with your "wink, wink" sanctimonious attitude. It really was sad.

Ms Prata, take a cleansing breath, bake some banana bread and get over your ill-directed fear and anger. Pam Wilkinson, in the 24 years I've lived in Gray, has always been a classy, time honored, and selfless person with all people, young and old, as her # 1 concern. You owe her an apology.

Most Sincerely,
Gaye Matthews
