1962 I was a member of the last high school class
to graduate from Pennell Institute. I spent five school
years there altogether, including the eighth grade,
so you may appreciate my interest in the debate about
what to do with the old building. more

Ice Fishing Season Opens

Saturday, January 1, 2005 marked the opening of ice
fishing season on most ponds and lakes in the state
of Maine. While many of the smaller bodies of water
had safe ice to venture out on, most of the medium
to larger ponds and lakes had only fair or dangerous
ice conditions. more
Obituaries:
Sister and brother Gail Franzen and Dellbert Ray Sr.
had that experience December 30, 2004. They were both
at CMMC in Lewiston with congestive heart failure.
