I grew up in a mill town, it was a natural choice
for me to work for Sappi. People in my family worked
their whole lives in the mill, and it seemed like
a secure way to make a living. Unfortunately, manufacturing
and factory jobs are not secure options anymore-I
learned that the hard way when I was laid off. more
Poker Rally success
Gray Snowolves Club: safe fun for all
As the snowmobilers crossed the last street to St.
Gregory's, poker faces cracked into smiles. The
First Annual Poker Rally sponsored by the Gray Snowolves
was a success, with not only big fun had by all,
but with funds raised for future scholarship donations.

Where is this: answer
Last week, The Monument published a photo of
a small portion of a local building and asked "where
is this?" We received numerous answers, all
asking if the bank of windows in disrepair was Russell
School in Gray. One person asked if it was Memorial
School. Nope to all. Rose Dorr of Gray knew.
