Do you want the bad news, or the bad news?
DOT, MTA, Gray talk intersection

Gray--Department of Transportation, Maine Turnpike Authority, and Town of Gray officials met last Monday to discuss ways to improve what is considered by many to be Maine's worst intersection. Located in Gray Village, five state routes converge where the Turnpike empties and there is only about 300 feet in which to do it all.

Town considering Libby Hill purchase
Splitting cost of appraisal, first

Gray--On May 17 at their regular meeting, the Council voted to pay half of the cost of an appraisal on a 29-acre parcel atop Libby Hill. The land is currently owned by Hancock Land Management Company but is between a parcel that the Town already owns and a parcel that the SAD 15 owns. Hancock wants to sell and the Town may be interested in buying. more

DOT won't move lot

Gray--The Department of Transportation (DOT) Maintenance lot occupies 5 acres in the middle of Gray Village. Gray officials have been talking with DOT officials for over three years to see if the DOT would re-locate their lot to a less prime area in town. Recently Rep. Who puts up the Cemetery flags?

The Gray American Legion thanks Norm Wilson for all the work he does getting all the flags out in the cemetery for Memorial Day weekend. When I spoke with him about it, lo and behold he sent me to the 4H club of Gray who are also an integral part of this important community service.
