Council asks why ordinance not upheld
Gray-The Gray Town Council dealt with issues both
large in scope and small in nature Tuesday night,
but tempers still flared and discussions generated
much comment from the public. The Council is in the
throes of dealing with an incompatibility of office
issue. Town Library Trustees, who are Council appointed,
may potentially become the Town's landlord if they
are given the Pennell trusts and lease the building
back to the Town. more

Former Councilor John Welch appointed to Council
Gray--John Welch was appointed to the Gray Town Council
on Tuesday, August 16. Each candidate had been asked
to fill out a questionnaire so that the current Councilors
could use them as a springboard to discussion and
a basis for making their decision. more

Gray Wildlife park hosts Native Americans
Gray--The divine flute music echoed from tree to tree,
drawing visitors to the lush stand of pines in the
middle of the Park. Vendor's tents ringed the arena,
with dreamcatchers, walking sticks, deerskin shirts,
and colorful blankets swinging gently in the cleansing
rain that splashed gently down from the sky.

Federal Communications Commission's efforts to clean
up television. In a bylined article published by The
Washington Times on May 5, 2003, she criticized then-chairman
Michael Powell's "past indifference" to

Change in the Town Meeting Date and Time
At
the request and recommendation of some citizens the
Gray Town Council is attempting to determine whether
there is support for a change in the date and time
of the Annual Town Meeting which is currently held
on the Saturday preceding the second Tuesday in June,
which is election day. The Change is to encourage
more citizen participation while avoiding conflicts
with other important events such as High School graduation
weekend and holidays. Please take a moment to complete
