The
Annual Memorial Fair last Saturday was fun and successful,
just take a look at all the happy vendors, volunteers,
and staff who worked hard to make it happen.

Above,
Briana Bolduc and friend Sherri Emery staff the goodies
table. The baked goods, were all made by chef Briana,
who loves to cook and made a delectable array of treats,
which were promptly purchased by many passers by.

Above,
in the Library, the Book Fair was going gangbusters,
with Grammy Barbara DiBiase helping Memorial School
Kindergartener Dawson and three-year-old brother Gavin
pick a book from the hard-to-choose selection.

Above,
Left to right, staffing the popcorn table was Maria
Valente, who attends 3rd Grade at Dunn School, Abby
Ordway, who goes to fifth grade at Dunn School, and
memorial School second grader Seth Ordway.

Above,
S'Mores Snowmen and Candy Cane Reindeer were de rigueur
for helpers Adam Peterlein, who goes to third grade
at Dunn School, with Margaret Michaud, also a third
grader at Dunn School. They were the picture of composed
maturity as they expertly staffed the table.
Shaker
Fair
The
Sabbathday Lake Shaker Fair was held last Saturday,
and the crowd lining up outside to get in was evidence
of the huge attraction the sale is and has been for
many years. In line were folks from near and far,
some having driven up from Massachusetts just for
the sale.
Inside, herbs, handmade soaps, books, jams and jellies,
Historical displays, ornaments, and the world-renowned
Shaker-made boxes were on display. The white elephant
room was downstairs, take a left by the pickles, and
the 'Good Room, had its usual famous bags of biscuits
and breads adorning the tables.

Above,
the line to get inside begins to form early, and no
one abandoned their spot, despite the cold temperatures
and piercing wind chill.

The
checkout lines were three-deep.

Above,
the raffle to win a set of Shaker Boxes had a line
to get to it, as did most of the checkout stations.
The raffle sales go toward preservation funds.
