The smallest donors make a difference

Little Madison Leslie (center) decided to clean out her piggy bank and make a donation to help feed families who do not have enough food. Her donation of $40.00 to Good Shepherd Food-Bank will provide over 250 pounds of food to the local community through its member agencies. Summer is a time of special need as more than 67,000 Maine kids are not receiving their free breakfasts and lunches while school is out. To find out how you can help make a difference, call GSFB at 782-3554 or contact jchartier@gsfb.org Pictured from left are: Mahala Hayden, Madison Leslie, and Mia Leslie.

The Library's Bob Leighton Gazebo Committee is having a Car Wash and Bottle Drive on September 17 (Saturday), 9-noon at Lower Village Fire Station, New Gloucester. FMI call Sue at 926-4840. Have you noticed that the thermometer has gone up? Proceeds go toward the Gazebo drive.
