The Town Council will meet with the department heads for a budget workshop on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at Stimson Hall from 8 a.m. Until all dept. Budgets have been reviewed.

Effective immediately, no building permits will be issued from the Code office without first notifying dig safe at the following number 1-888-344-7233. When calling Digsafe be ready to give important information as follows: city/town, street/road, location description, extent and type of work, contact person and phone number and the excavator/company name and phone number. Must give Digsafe at least three business days - but no more than 30 calendar days before starting work. You may request a copy of the PUC's property owners fact sheet by calling puc 1-800-452-4699 or by visiting www.state.me.us/mpuc.

From November 15th to April 15th, between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 a.m., no vehicle shall be parked at any time on a public way, public street or within a town-owned parking lot, due to snow removal. Vehicles in violation of the ordinance (Section 502.3) will be towed at the owner's expense.

It is time to start our Pre-registration process. We are asking all parents of children that will be 5, on or before October 15, 2006 to call the school in the town in which they live, and register their child for Kindergarten.
