Photo Essay

On a winter's day after a heavy snowfall, I drove from The Monument Office to New Gloucester's Town Office on an errand. Here are some of the lovely winter scenes along the way.
E. Prata, Editor

Pennell Institute. The tree looks almost like apple blossom time.

Wood at Maschino Lumber Co. on Morse Rd.

Spooky RR Crossing

Skis lined up at Dunn for the after-school program

The sky darkens quickly in Maine in the Winter but the sun valiantly tries to break through.

Pineland Pond, snowblowing it clean for skaters.

With lack of sun and little color in the natural world for many months, the yellow garage on Intervale Rd. pops

This old house on Intervale near the Town Office was built in 1858, and the horse tie-up ring in front is only for local decoration now and a reminder of other transportation methods gone by.
