The Monument: Jeanne Adams photo

That is one very large gun. The photo was taken in Gray on Shaker Road, the Baptist Church and Superintendent's office are behind the parade float. It's Armistice Day, November 11, 1929. Nowadays the November 11 holiday observance is called Veteran's Day.

The photo was owned by Jean Chipman Pulsifer, who she recently donated it to the Gray Historical Society. If you have old instruments, implements, clothes, photos, ephemera, or just about anything, think of the Historical Society first when you are getting ready to donate.
Their number is 657-2235.
