Pine
Tree Networks Serves communities through volunteerism

Pine
Tree Networks takes its community service seriously.
All the towns in its service area have a fleet of
volunteers who work for a day on projects in each
town. In New Gloucester, volunteers were at the fairgrounds
and Fairgrounds Committee Chair Cliff Andrews was
thrilled.
On
the docket was putting together picnic tables, finishing
the beach volleyball court, mulching the new trail
installed last week by the Youth Conservation Corps,
and planting the tuck bed of daffodils donated by
Pine tree Garden Seeds. "They will look pretty
in the fall agains the entrance fence," said
Andrews.
There
is a seasonal skating rink, and Andrews said that
the Committee likes turn the rink into the volleyball
court as quickly as possible, but with this spring's
rains, I has been slower than they hoped. On Tuesday,
the volunteers from Pine Tree Networks were to install
the nets, boundary lines, and rake the sand. When
they were done, the court would offer beach volleyball
playing, Andrews said.
Volunteers
from left to right are Dennis Nightingale, Laurie
Stitson, Scott Harlow, and Sandy Hartwell.
